Her Story
A career built on championing women
Dr. Yehl’s path to founding Coastal Women’s Medical wasn’t a straight line — it was a deliberate, decades-long immersion in every dimension of women’s health. She began as a nurse, fell in love with the intimacy of midwifery, pursued medicine, completed one of the most competitive residencies in the country, and earned an MBA to understand how to build a practice that could actually work differently.
Along the way, she noticed the same pattern over and over: women being dismissed, rushed, and undertreated — especially during hormonal transitions that conventional medicine was poorly equipped to handle. She founded Coastal Women’s Medical to be the practice she wished had existed for her patients all along.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Yehl is a wife, mother of four, dog mom, avid reader, and world traveler who believes the best way to understand people is to immerse yourself in the cultures, places, and food they love.

Why She Does It Differently
Her philosophy of care
Most practices are built around volume — see more patients, spend less time, bill more codes. Dr. Yehl built Coastal Women’s Medical around the opposite model. The 90-minute initial visit isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. You cannot build a meaningful health plan in 15 minutes.
Her approach integrates primary care, gynecology, hormone medicine, lifestyle medicine, and nutrition — because the body doesn’t divide itself into specialty silos, and your care shouldn’t either. Every treatment plan is built together with the patient, using evidence-based medicine as the foundation and your individual goals as the compass.
She’s also a coach and nutrition-certified provider, which means conversations about what you eat, how you move, and how you sleep are part of care — not afterthoughts.
“I felt like there was finally light at the end of the tunnel. She actually heard me — not just listened, but truly heard me. For the first time, I left a doctor’s office feeling informed and hopeful instead of dismissed.”
